Article-Based Continuing Certification (ABCC) Pathway
The new ABCC Pathway is an ongoing professional journal article-based assessment activity designed as an optional alternative to the current traditional 10-year recertification/CC examination. ABPN diplomates who participating in the program will be required to read a minimum of 30 articles, but no more than 40 articles, and answer 4 out of 5 questions correctly on the first attempt on 30 journal article assessments. Diplomates with multiple certifications must complete 20 articles per specialty area plus an additional 10 article assessments in any certification area (flexible based on diplomate’s choice).
The ABPN has released a list of 40 articles for child and adolescent psychiatry, your AACAP membership includes access to 26 of these articles. Several others are freely available, and do not require a fee to access. For your convenience, below you will find the list of articles, including direct links to each.
Please note that these articles are being used in the ABPN’s ABCC Pathway for the current year and are subject to change without notice. Please consult the ABPN Continuing Certification testing site for the most up-to-date information about articles that are currently active.
