CC Part 3 - Cognitive Expertise

CC Exam

The exam is a multiple-choice, computer-based exam administered in over 200 testing centers throughout the country. The exam focuses on clinical applications of knowledge and topics that are relevant to practice. To sit for the cognitive exam, all current CC requirements must be satisfied. Combined (formerly modular) exams are available for physicians who wish to recertify in more than one specialty and/or subspecialty at the same time. Article-Based Continuing Certification (ABCC) Pathway

The ABPN ABCC Pathway is a professional journal article-based assessment activity designed as an optional alternative to the current secure, proctored 10-year MOC examination. The ABPN has released the list of articles for child and adolescent psychiatry and your AACAP membership includes access to 26 of them for free. Several others are freely available, and do not require a fee to access. For your convenience, we have made a collection of these articles, including direct links to each.

ABPN Part III Pilot Project

The ABPN Part III Pilot Project is a professional journal article-based assessment activity designed as an optional alternative to the current secure, proctored CC exam.
